A Heart On Fire
The embers,ashes form a shape
a phantom in a blackened cape
and then I recognize my face
it's me again,I burned this place
smoke alarms are going off
all the inmates start to cough
someone open up the gate
never mind it's just too late
candleabra,incondescent
lighting up the past and present
every candle gone to flame
burning down your world again.
