A Golden Interlude

The fading clamour
blazing another sun has set
past the urban jazz
creation starts singing
into the silent darkness
chorus of the night
drowning out the day
burdens are gone between stops
sound and silence bless

gosh dang. WEll, I was re-reading it and I noticed line 2 had one too many syllables and line line 4 had one extra one. That is the ONLY reason a wonderful one like this would not make it. This judge is pretty strict on syllable counts. Let me know if you ever want a count. This poem was so elegant, john.
