A Golden Find
While wandering along the shore
A bar of gold washed up upon my feet
From the oceans floor the Earths core
A shipwreck a pirates fleet from who from where not from thin air
Part of a treasure waiting to be found
Did it break free from years and years of company ,gems and pearls twisted and bound
Is there a treasure waiting to be found
It has no markings it’s very old a blind find
Maybe one of a kind
I’m sure there’s many who seek its riches
Not for beauty nor its history not an interest in its mystery
Should I throw it back its part of the sea it traveled for years but why now me
I’ll treasure its past give it a new land
It will never be held by any wrong hand
