A Girl's Soul

She personified the future To reassure her soul That tomorrow held her heart Within his grasp, Tight and secure. She let go of her every fear As they fell down into the depths of the hollow earth In order to embody the blissfulness of wind. And as it surrounds her, She learns to become one with it For nothing Has quite felt so right or serene. She smiles with the yellow poppies That line the never ending fields And the path of her future With sunshine That shines from a spirit That's bound to be hers, Forever to remain gold And never to become old For a tale so beautiful has never been told, Since every girl's soul has already been sold.
