A Game Fools Play

Whatever happened to the love we knew? And why do you treat me the way you do? You spin silken lies that defy belief. And sneak out at night like a common thief. Perched upon my trust, you portray a dove. Yet, you woo trouble, and betray my love. If hope disappears love fades, and it dies. And depression feeds upon its demise. You have taken my happiness away. And equated love to a game fools play. (Quatrain) 9/26/2015

Emile you convey heartfelt pain. Betrayal is such an ugly act. I could feel the damage it did in this painful write. Very well done.
