A Friend No More
Your selfish choices and ignorant
ways,
Affect more than you these days.
Knocks on my door for money you
owe,
By people I'd prefer not know.
Wrapped up in webs of lies you've
spun,
Then contradicting every one.
Justifying your choices in ridiculous
ways,
"At least it's coke not heroin"
unfazed!!
Promising things you've promised
before,
Past believing you'll change
anymore.
Not without serious help at least,
Chasing a dragon, a drug, a beast.
It's harder for me when you are
around,
Sitting there watching me run myself
down.
Staying for just a minute or two,
Then leaving like you always do.
Riding a bike to gain your drugs,
But not to give your children hugs.
Selling yourself CHEAP to get high,
While I am barely scraping by.
