That is pretty dang cold Sally! I cannot imagine having pain where most would think impossible, but I know it is real. You packed a lot in this one-liner Sally!

I am saddened to learn of your health problem/s. I can't imagine what you have been through and are going through with such surgery. It happens so much with people that are diabetic. They have finally got my husband's diabetes under control. He takes Neurontin (the generic form) for nerve pain. He says it helps some. He takes 1 in the morning and two at night. Thanks for sharing this one and for dropping by my page. Sara

Hi Sally, I know this is true, and cannot be fun for those who have lost parts. I remember, living in New York, we were not wealthy, and I had to wake up early in the morning, before school to shovel coal into the furnace. I wore layers of sweaters on layers of sweaters. It was a lot colder back then. A warmth of hugs. Blessings my friend.

I agree that winters were colder then, but ya’know we only had horrible wool coats & as u say sweaters. Mpuffer coats have been life changing IMHO! Thanks so much for the warm hugs. Ni stay under electric blankets. Hugs back at u!

my husband has a big toe injured years ago and he keeps wondering if he should have it amputated, If you really did this, what would you suggest for him?

Andrea, sorry for the lateness of reply. If ur husband becomes truly concerned or if that toe is blue, see a vascular surgeon foe evaluation. Having had to have 2 infected toes amputated in july 33, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT GLADLY,TO ANYONE BUT SATAN. Tmay hubby avoid all infection & you both stay blessedly well! Hugs, sally

Victor. At present, my daily life is a struggle! Ive been on a de-breeding vacuum(4 lb+) w/long tubes attached to foot so painful i stay level 7-9 most of time helped by meds but still suffer like a bic lighter underfoot every 15 min. See my poem Rate the Battle. I keep up w/my art, poetry, loving Soup friends, my pups, Jim, music, & Jesus! Thanks for ur concern & love! Say hi to Malta for me!

Paula! Been ages! I must run over& read your work! As for your comment — yes, wool socks…tucked under ELECTRIC blanket under my long-haired doxie. But, i’m always cold, even use e- blanket in summer. Liked your Freudian typo, “star warm.” Have a great week!
