A Few More Steps Into Sunshine

When all around seems dark and gloomy When you feel so alone in your universe And harsh sufferings gnaw at your spirit When your heart so heavy, faints Remember you are never really alone Sometimes it helps to look deep within At the man you have become Life for you has never been easy You may think you’ll never overcome But you know who whispers that lie Reach for that strength that has carried you this far For greater is He who is within you Through the rugged and crooked paths Over mountains and out of death’s grasp Look how far you have come through it all See how light invades the darkness Even the shadows like dominos fall Hold on to the promise of tomorrow When your losses will be restored His promises are never empty Just a few more steps into your sunshine *

Hi Audrey,This is so true and very well written my poetry friend thank you for sharing it with all of us here in the poetry community because I thoroughly enjoyed my visit with you today, on your last comment on my latest poem you made a few suggestions to me and I just want to say that she no longer feels the same way about me because we have already been apart for going on two years now, but at least I will always have the fond memories that we shared with each other when we were together.
