A Father's Love

You arrive in his life All healthy and scared, He holds you in his arms A father who cares He watches you crawl Soon you will walk, The cooing you say Turns in to talk School comes along It's your very first day, He has tears in his eyes Be safe, he prays The years go bye School is now done, He teaches you to drive This should be fun Dating soon starts You walk out the door, Always in his thoughts A child no more Your big day arrives The love of your life, You are joined together Husband and Wife You arrived in his life All healthy and scared, He held you in his arms A father who cared.
