A Father's Echo

The arrival of his departure (A numb and cruel upheaval starter) Was an emotional core rupture; A final goodbye to her father. She saw his final, last inhale, That would never flow to release. She saw his life light fade to pale Before leaving to forever peace. In time, she joyously came to know His essence was such a sharp, strong force, He could bend love air to a flowing echo And send it resounding on sure course. She soon knew his echoes had limits For they do maintain, exist and hide Behind the point of flesh blossoming to spirit, During living years that ended in 1999. He transcends, transmitting echoes of emotion. Philosophy and love arrive clear as any symphony. Father-echoes billow sounds of steady devotion, Gifting glimpses of their once united family. A father and daughter’s shared life’s chapter, That his echoes strength saw captured, Are the touching echoes of secure allure. She is soothed by her father’s echo overture.

He must have loved you very much...for only emotion and love can put together words like these. I agree with Robert, this is a true gem.

Your love shines between the lines. As we age we get such a broader picture of what our parents are or were. This is a lovely tribute to your father memory CayCay. #7

This is deep and I am sure it must be about your own father. Perhaps you came to know him better in later years. I am like Eileen with this one. I too love the ending of this one! Another soupmail!!

I always knew him - just not some things about him, and we always loved each other, that was not the issue - too complicated to discuss here. Yes - about my Father's echo which is very real. Thanks, Sweetie - CayCay
