A Ducks Christmas Rhyme

Christmas time is here, Its time to be jovial and cheer, Santa's list of naughty and nice, The mulled wine is full of spice, Parcels full of colour and surprise, Santa's belly is getting full of mince pies, Each chimney a little tighter, But soon he’ll have a new year to get lighter, Family and friends come together, If only this day could last forever, Homes full of warmth and laughter, The carols are blasted louder and louder, Christmas eve mass we listen to the pastor, New years brings the hope of a new chapter, Showered with hugs and kisses at the stroke of midnight, The previous year’s sorrows seem out of sight, As we finally lay our heads in the twilight, All smiles and our hearts full of delight, We remember how lucky we are to have one another, Whether it be a sister, brother or mother, Another Christmas has come to pass, But our friends and families are here to last, Our bellies are full and there's presents everywhere, But I have a special gift to share ,to show how much I care, A promise of another years love from me to you Something I know I will treasure all year through. Merry Christmas everyone from this duck to all of you
