A Dream of Mercy

May the Blind See: Unite for sight Eyes so bright Let the blind Cast woe behind And open eyes To wondrous light! And the Deaf Hear: Let deaf ears resound Upon splendorous sound With tunes so melodic And a song of lyrics May they hear graceful notes Dancing in their ears Bringing forth joyous tears! Let the Famished Eat: Let weal heal you from want No more lean and gaunt For you shall become plump As famine ceases to swamp And the Forlorn Find Home: May the forlorn find warm hearth A place of their own upon this Earth A cosy delight beneath the skies A nest in the night with mellow lamp light All rights released into Public Domain

As the author of this poem, I release all rights into the Public Domain. I was moved to write this after seeing the work of Unite for Sight and other charities who return sight (i.e. free cataract surgery) to the blind or help give cochlear hearing implants to the deaf, or feed and shelter them. I hope to inspire others to help such noble causes.
