A Dream

I remember it so clearly Like it happened in real life It was a dream I had One cold and lonely night I was in a room Sad and alone Until someone walked through And told me to come home I followed this strange person Of whom I cannot name To the place I call home My mother was there, but my father was gone They told me he had been lost I did not understand what they were trying to say And so I ran Far far away I heard them screaming For me to come home But I would not listen Until I was alone It was dark I think it was midnight When something grabbed my shoulder And held on to me tight It was my father And he was okay But now we were both lost And starting to decay Soon we could not move And so we said our goodbyes And that was the ending To my small life When I woke I was crying And sweating on the floor I could not understand What I had just dreamed And so I went on Just another day But I will never forget What I had dreamed that day
