A Door
In the middle of the room,
There is a door.
Not just any door,
But a door with a hole in the middle.
Pointless it seems like,
To have a hole in the door.
Pointless, yes,
But I want to know more.
It lures me in,
Stealing my attention,
Stealing my thoughts,
My intentions.
Yet, I continue on.
The hole is empty,
And I can’t see through to the other side.
I’m trapped in this room,
In this state of mind.
The answers are too hard to find.
Why am I trapped?
Why am I here?
But then I hear a voice.
One so calm, and
Another so loving.
Yes? Yes?
Love ME, Love ME,
Not this door,
Not the world,
Or anything for that matter.
Love Me more…
