A Deluge of Doubt
A Deluge of Doubt
….and to punish those who exercised
free will
He send a flood to punish
and to kill
all--except the one that built
His arc
…no wonder the dark ages
were so dark.
…and then,
to conflict the laws
much later written
they succumbed
to lovers tryst -
were incest smitten
…..started in begattin’
and begettin
the sinfulness they left
too soon forgettin’
…and so
the book goes on,
an endless tome,
sad stories of a people
leaving home
Noah - the Father
of this fall -
twisted response
to Heaven’s call.
The Deluge,
washed away no sin
just set aside a few
to start again.
