A Daydream

My spirit's restless as my dreams proceed To dwell in fantasies of love's desire And leave this moment for a pause I need To gather all the strength I can aquire A place my mind can go so I can flee And find a quiet space so close within To lay upon the fields of memory And battle with the demons of my sin A sinner hiding in a house of lies Reliving passions of a kiss I shared An innocent before the coming cries I'll search these psalms to lift me from despair How could I have been so vulnerable? I hold my yearning choice responsible for contest A Daydream 4/25/14

This is a unique and more serious interpretation of the painting. Well done, Frederic! Congratulations on your win, as well!

yes Barbara, it had a 1880's feel to it when women were forced to feel guilty about the simplest things, the most innocent of kisses could bring a sinners guilt,I thought the picture screamed conflict...thank you for reading

oh MY she has a guilty conscience but can't stop the daydreams of what happened. NICE way to do this one. As a young girl I was an expert at daydreaming. Not so much any more. Actually probably very rarely. It's kind of sad!! I will have to do this challenge by putting myself in my younger days. GOOD entry you did.
