A Country Boy
out in the mountain range
away from the crowd
and out in the open
listening to the chickens peck
and the cows moo.
the view of the trees
and rivers are breath taking
on this mountain stands me
enjoying the sun, the wind
and the view
I enjoy it all
I am home
outside
whether in the woods, in the open
on a hill, or just on the front steps
I am a country boy.
