A Cosmic Message

Racing thru the dark of space On a long trip to eternity Deep within is a coded record To tell other worlds of humanity. Symbols created with a fervent wish When contact made, other worlds will glean Once the messages, and pictures read Will they explain just what we mean. If they should follow the cosmic map And come to encounter humanity What will they find when they arrive? Will it be what they thought it to be? Or will it be a planet filled with wars A planet where many are not free An earth destroyed by power and greed Where so many nations cannot agree? Have they taken a look at us before, Then sped away to home, in despair? Did they say,” Nice place to visit… But you wouldn’t want to live there!
