A Cold Winter's Night

A COLD WINTER'S NIGHT The sky was pregnant with a child Her cold breath engulfing the earth mildly It's that time of the year again Knowing it's time to join the moving train The train of festivities Everywhere bubbling with activities The sky birthed a baby Snow came swishing through the air thick and hazy Thick sheets of snow sent everyone indoors For it was too cold for anyone to be seen outdoors This was accompanied by the howls of the night wind Howls loud enough to make a man lose his mind The wind howled until the wolves joined in In the mountains came the howls of the night wolf It's swift movement could be heard as it walked through the snow The wind blew as it walked through The winter legend was true The night wolf wasn't a myth like people claimed A damn shame The white mysterious wolf walked through the village Footsteps echoed as it walked It was a bringer of hope and joy The wolf's eyes shine as bright as the sun It's gentle presence a blessing begun To those who believed it's message was clear It's message of hope ringing through the air.
