A Christmas Snow

Quietly falls the pure whitened snow Transforming all by lantern glow Each roof, gate and meandering lane Matchless beauty makes all the same Muffled carollers by lamplight Raise mellow voices in the night As evening dusk descends around Bright coloured fairy lights abound The deepening snow settles in drifts Makes Christmas Eve with special gifts As multiple stars shine above Friends and families join in love Venturing out expresses a thrill With mounting snow on window sill Then frosty air breath exposes Steaming laughs and shiny noses.
