A Christmas Miracle

As the sun rose on Christmas morn All throughout the world A miracle was growing in the hearts Of every boy and girl No matter their religious beliefs It happened everywhere Even in the hearts of those Who about Christmas they weren’t aware They woke with a smile on their face And hope festering in their hearts In a world that needs their help They were willing to do their parts And just in an instant There was a twinkle in their eye And they knew that peace and love Was the life that they would try Hate and anger disappeared In the hearts of the young All the prejudice adults had planted Suddenly became undone And without fire and brimstone With no religious dogma in the way The future of this world Promised a better day

Joe, to see hate and anger disappear in the hearts of young people would truly be a miracle. I like the way you included people of all faiths. Who could ask for more than this? Congratulations on your first-place win! Love, Carolyn
