A Choice
What twisted pleasure do you derive
From crushing others’ precious dreams?
Why would you feel so much more alive
Only if you hear a dream’s dying screams?
Find your own aspiration, your own goal.
Rejoice in the gift of talent granted to others.
With the punches and kicks of life simply roll;
Don’t be the one who their hope smothers.
Rise above your wicked nature, envy reject.
Desist from being vitriolic and sarcastic.
Meditate – quietly upon your purpose reflect.
Refrain from being arrogant and bombastic.
Are you the almighty Creator, or the created?
Will you end up sobbing bitterly, too belated?
