A Child's Plea

Somewhere in the dark or in the light of day When no one was around he'd hurt her so She couldn't speak, so no one heard this child's plea Too afraid to speak, only in her mind could she cry and beg He used her as he wished, no one heard her plea "Please make him stop" in her mind she would scream So many times, silenced by fear, no one heard this child's plea A man she loved, though he was not her real "daddy" She thought she was bad, and no one heard her plea Even now as an adult, a survivor she carries this pain and those memories still Still hurting from back then, When no one heard this child's plea

sad... yet true as i can imagine. sometimes i just wish some god of sorts would strike such men with a lightening bolt. sorry to the protagonist, hope she formats from her mind that bit of the past, and let Karma clean the slate in time, it always does. >hey Len, your writing's deep, i'm tempted to believe its real, if it is, dear... sorry wont be enough but it's a start. and so you should start the jouney to happiness you're promised to find in the better horizons ahead. life always compensates
