A Childs Christmas
Family gathered around the tree on
christmas eve
As grandpa tells the tale of jolly st.
Nick
The eyes of every child in
attendance gleaming wide
As grandma fixes the string of silver
tinsel on the live tree
The children cheer as she lights
each little candle on the branches
just right
Their flicker brings a smile across
her face
Each glass ornament and wooden
dove
Lay gently on its branches
While colorful wrapped gifts are
tucked neatly beneath the tree
And children carried to their rooms
Are nestled in their beds.
