A Child Was Born
Since times of old, prophets did say
A savior, he will come someday.
His birth from danger they will hide
The will of God, they would abide
Their journey fixed, bound to obey.
With shelter found along the way
Thus nestled down upon the hay,
With lowly donkey at her side,
A child was born!
The wise men came from far away
Where in the manger He did lay
A single star was magnified,
His birth by all was glorified,
On bended knee, all bowed to pray.
A Child was born!
