A Butterfly
Behind the leaves, I saw a butterfly
As it gently squeezed out from its cocoon;
It tried to move slowly but surely
As it went out from its isolated home.
Below the cone, its head came out,
It looked around among the green leaves;
It squeezed again until it came out,
It flapped its wings as it prepared to leave.
At the back of its wings, I saw different colors
There were green and yellow; brown, red and blue;
With soft as cotton, flat wings it started to fly
Above the trees on high,
Or down to the grass below.
