A Broken Dream

A story told by our ancestors of hatred and broken dreams Trying to make sense of our history only to find misery. In my mind I keep wondering how this all came to be. An unheard of mother An abusive father And a never ending trail of pain The child's dream has already been broken. When will it all end All this pain and agony Around every corner The shadows keep following me. Chasing me Surrounding me Controlling me There is no help for me. Yet I must fix my fate for I am not done nor is my dream.
