A Bit of Me
I can be an angel to fellow humans
When they are sick, dying and suffering
I organize humanitarian assistance to all
Everyone believes I am a walking saint
I wonder whether a bit of me is God!
Worst things on earth I am capable of doing
Twice and more I can be a tiger, a shark
I care not when I lie and multiply sorrows
Blood and tears of enemies amuse me and I laugh
I wonder whether a bit of me is Satan!
I am told when I die my soul will fly, fly, fly
To the skies I will swim and float to the unknown
Somewhere there I will live forever, happy or sad
Like stars I will not come back to visit anyone here
I wonder whether a bit of me is the cosmos!
I search for correct answers about who I am
I read holy books and kneel to pray all prayers
The heavens I search with spaceship and telescopes
But I discover more questions, not answers!
I wonder whether a bit of me is foolishness!
God-like, Satan-like, cosmic-like but with limitedness
Who am I and what am I doing here in this obscure realm?
I ask God to reveal me but He reveals other things, not me
Thirsty and desperate, I search for my identity in vain!
I wonder whether a bit of me is hopelessness!
