A Better Yesterday

A Better Yesterday There's these voices, They come to me; Can somebody say what they mean? It's like a blinded epiphany, telling me things that I'm doing before they're even occurring. In dreams, I fall victim, to my minds games, I settle down and watch how things changed and what they used to be. Friendly faces all around, but they're empty with expression and deafening with no sound. But if squint my eyes, and close the blinds, perhaps it'll go away. I'll just kick back, call it a night and cast the key astray. But maybe I'll wake up tomorrow in a better yesterday. I see in colours, a kaleidoscope of mental disarray. Playing dot-to-dot with the stars and fiddling with hollow jars, scraping out the remnants to try keep me sane. Just to walk, without a weight on my shoulders, and a fire to fight all the cold hearts away. Then I would find it, A restful peace inside; A calm serenity; The lonely running dry. But if squint my eyes, and close the blinds Perhaps it'll go away. I'll just kick back, call it a night And cast the key astray. But maybe I'll wake up tomorrow in a better yesterday. But maybe I'll wake up tomorrow in a better yesterday.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
