A Better Place

Well I just talked, to a friend, He told me his wife, had reached her end. Made me think, about life a bit, So I thought, I would write of it. Most of us think of it, as being sad, Maybe yes, but not completely bad. It doesn’t bother, the ones that have passed, Cause they are in a better places at last. And if they were suffering here on earth, There was a good reason, they served their worth. Now they are gone, and left us here to pray, And give us strength for another day. But for us left below, our prayers are meant for, To give us hope we will go thru that door. Then see our loved ones, again to be, And in some small way, we are happy. Then we will look down and we will see, The ones WE left behind, that are not free. For this is the way, things were meant to be, And they cant wait for our company. It must be, a better place, Than here on earth, in the human race. Otherwise why, would we go up there, And leave this earth without a care. We say we don’t, want to go But oh how little do we know. Cause it will be so grand, When we leave this earth, for the promised land. So lets not fret, those gone away, But prepare ourselves, for our big day. A tear came to my eye, while writing this, Thinking of those I really miss. So think about your life and how you are, Think about those, oh so far. Where will you go, when your life ends? Or will that be, the day it begins. Now think about the golden rule, The one we learned when in school. And treat others, as we want to be, And think about your family.
