A Battle Within

A battle within Wars between mortals are common, with blooshed, wounds, scars, what of the one inside, mind vs the heart. Do i dare to follow you, or obey the heart, curb the soul inside, or bury the tears apart. Life was given easy it was made complicated, too much is too think, mind is still not satiated. Suffocation bears the heart, mind is now the captain, life is in its domain, former lies butchered in stain. Freedom of thought and expression, the law guarantees us, some people though steal it, sacrifice they hand over just. Loose me or urself, that is the only choice, Accept me or except you, will be his voice. Female roles are made fluid, to be served in different form they have no shape or identity, to their owner they conform. Care and adore we are taught, are the ornaments of a lady, she needs to sacrifice, in times of exposure prove shady. Live until you are dead, serve until you are fead, do as others please, only then can you live with ease, follow the mind and obey, keep your heart far-at bay.

There are places where being a woman must be so very difficult. This saddens me. Read my poem Girl Rising and my other poem Boy Sitting. I believe you will appreciate them. Congratulations on this fine poem.

Women worldwide do have many faces and many sides. Remarkable freedom here coming from a woman from India. Very well done. Great title.
