A Soul Journeys Home
Soaring through the galaxies my soul takes flight
like a shooting star it explodes into the air
Illuminating it like fireflies in the night
as the knight of darkness recedes into despair.
Hypnotic sounds of swirling gases like heavenly organs
fail to placate the quivering of my soul
as Heaven bound it clings to the bell -like voices of angels
guiding it home.
As a drowning man grasps at a straw my soul reaches out
then close to the gates of Heaven is encircled in prisms of light .
Finally on a crimson tide it's borne away to Paradise.
