" Keep Talking " By Pink Floyd

For millions of years mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk. These are the words spoken by Stephen Hawking on Pink Floyd's track Keep Talking from the Album - Division Bell from 1994. Is it not a sad indictment on us humans, that we were graced with the cleverist of intellegence, yet we can hardly use it. I wrote a poem today called Gorillini, and this is the last two lines:- We are barely their servants The real King of the primates

I watched a movie yesterday that I purchased at Wal-Mart called "Amazing Grace" a line similiar to the one above or it could be a direct quote was somewhere in the movie. I want to watch it again. God gave us the ability to talk. It says in Genesis that man communed with God in the quiet of the evening. Your idea is good here. Keep writing. Sara

James, I cannot let this moment pass. Although Stephen Hawking is a brilliant physicist, I disagree with the comment about man learning to talk after millions of years. I must say that I do believe in God. I do believe that God talked with Adam and taught him. Man's lack of knowlege came after the tree of knowlege. Then, teaching subsided. Survival enslaved man, and great lessons of creation, science, etc. were lost to fear of mortal death. What do you think, James? (I love your work.) DAS-J

They say it is only brain power that separates man from beast. But sometimes, when I look at dolphins and other intelligent species, I feel they are smarter than we. They kill only to eat and survive. Wish it were that way for mankind. Wonderful write, James. I have missed you so much. Just took a break and wanted to say hello to my favorite Highlander! Love you!
