I am like the swan flying to warmer countries When autumn sings her song As a fleeting image in a mirror comes the longing Missing the flower meadow, blue sea and beautiful sunset The air is warm and gentle on my face Soon I have to let go ... meeting the autumn and winter No summer lasts forever 19.09.2013 (Turkey) A-L Andresen :)

This poem has a great metaphor within it. The winter months do feel like our deaths at times. So, we should embrace summer and autumn while we have them!...This poem was beautifully written!

I don't know if you intended them, but there are some wonderful metaphors to aging and the passage of time. Even if you didn't intend them, the poem is beautiful as-is. Lovely imagery... Jack
