Brother Goff, you are excellent at anything you put your hands to. I may have missed your other haiku offerings - but these are superb. I love wild Wisteria, often considered a pest.... but those bunches of grape-like blooms! I love all three, but the first is in a league of its own. Congrats Poet Rocking-Shiki-style

Thank you Brother Anil, you are very kind! If you don't own a copy of Matsaoka Shiki, I encourage you to pick one up! When I read Shiki I get so inspired with his simplicity! was harvesting Wild Ramps in Wisconsin Bluffs today for Executive Chefs ((almost $600.00 this yr!) & came across a Spotted Fawn one foot away hiding behind a tree all curled up! I got a photo & will drop a poem to be privately published...if you send me your email soupmail I will send photo!

Though Shiki is unknown to me I'm willing to wager you have done it justice here Jim :)

I love reading you & seeing you interact with grace and His shalom, here Sir James Goff. I am less often here, but did see your generous comments on my musings/poems. I need to re-read on Shiki ... love these haiku offerings. #2 is best for me, but I loved the "intended puns" in "fly South" and "freeze" in #s 1 and 3. shalom Friend
