32 Bj Build It Up

on January 14th at MCNY on the 14th floor a meeting was held on how to build up the Security Division more we started off with introductions and learning a little bit about each other a team-building endeavor that made us feel more like sisters and brothers we had a Power-Point presentation which depicted our accomplishments and goals Rob Hill stated that as a union we need to focus on national control Vice President Kevin Doyle expounded that "Stuff is Complicated" but not to let that be a deterrrent to all that we've anticipated we then meet in smaller groups to exchange our ideas and thoughts about what we felt is needed for the Security Division to better walk the walk challenges and opportunites each group then emphazied Denis and Valerie broke it all down so we could all realize that it takes good leadership to get the job done and then we broke for lunch at twenty-five to one back to the meeting at the time of half-past two Stephon said a discussion of membership engagement is what we now need to do again we broke into smaller groups and talked about what is required a mutual exchange of opinions and ideas is what we did inspire each person came with their own perspective in regards to their jobs and roles and a true membership engagement plan is now the union's goal how to build it up, how to make our union strong to help the members take ownership to the union of which they belong to finish the meeting President Mike Fishman then took the floor and gave us one of his good story about how security officers deserve more it was a productive session and the knowledge we gained filled our cups and now 32BJ Security Division will continue to build it up
