24 Days

As I can recall, very few thoughts of fear and sadness, now that I'm 7000 miles away it's back to the same old madness. I can never forget the time we spent together, to remember it now and forever. The mountains, cold and scenic, sitting on the porch with you, holding your hand on the beach. Feeling the love and affection that a daughter wants to share. I'm the luckiest man on earth to have such a child. My beautiful wife has become strong within herself and more understanding. I hope she can say the same about me. Sometimes I feel so inadequate for her. Christmas day I give her a gift to once again represent my love while I'm not at home. Wanting every morning to wake up by her side, my job keeps me away for now. I'll be home again my dear, no matter what it takes to be by your side.
