10 Years From Now
10 Years from Now
As I sit here
Pondering about what will be
I think 10 years from now
What will happen to me?
Will I still be in school?
Like in a university
Or will I be cheering,
At my two year anniversary?
10 years from now
I can be rich but be meek
Or I can be sad
And be living in the street
Will I have any kids?
Three, four, maybe five
Or my favorite question is
Will I still be alive?
Will I have a boring life?
Routine, mundane, all the same
Or will I be among the greatest
Playing in the Super Bowl game
Will I be an average Joe?
Living from day to day
Or will I have fun on vacation,
2000 miles away?
10 years from now
Will it be me who invented the flying car?
Or will I be on the green,
Two swings under par?
Well most of that’s good
But I’m here living right now
All of these things can come true
But it starts by asking “how?”
