-finally-

Daily Poetry #74, April 12, 2017 Word: Finally For once, I feel as though the world has colour, And I feel like I could continue on forever. But isn’t that what I’ve been doing this whole time? While I walk, I’ve just been spouting a nonsense rhyme. Feet patter as I continue on this up and down hill, Ticking on and on, there’s nothing here to fill. Give me something more so I can feel alive, To fill your heart, so I continue to strive. The sidewalk I walk on swerves left and right, And seemingly, there’s no end here in sight. Please just give me a good ending already, But I don’t think it’s time for me to see. But finally, I feel like I could colour this whole monotone world, So please just take this stained hand, please don’t be so cold. The sidewalk always has room for the two of us to walk, Because with you, I feel like I can actually talk. Finally this puzzle I call life is becoming clear; hey, are you there? Just break through these endless days and smile without care. We don’t need to follow an endless cycle, it doesn’t matter anymore, And with you here, I feel like I don’t need to question what I’m here for. Finally I know that I can give you a clear answer, Untouched by the hazy mind I once had. Looking forward, I finally see the end of the road, And I step off, eager to continue.
