~ let the scent of roses be a beautiful memory - not of death but of life ~ quote by poet An allegorical dream vision through nerve fibers as thin gold undulating Remembered through a tender prayer, not mournful Opal's tears have been dried in the soul of time Tomb inscription written in Latin: Fertility, renewal, truth, dreams and connectivity to the divine Her ardent heart, blooms in June An atmosphere of peace Red roses for the tomb

Here, the tomb is no more despicable, but a sweet place where life and memories resurrect and the scent of roses permeates. Lovely entry for the contest. All the best dear Anne. Love and hugs

Love that quote! How funny roses were death to me…I even smelled them as I entered the 911 Twin Towers (my husband did not) My mom’s favorites were carnations. Still after she died, twice where there was no roses, the air was heavy with the scent. Some things change your mind. Beautiful poem! I read it after the quote. By the way my mom’s lovely name is June! Wow! Blessings & Hugs ~ Kim

- A lovely name ... June - Carnations are most often used in tomb wreaths here ... they "live" longer than roses - Many thanks for the lovely comment, Kim :) - hugs
