Funny New Years Resolutions for 2024
Poetry Contest
Sponsored by: Constance La France

1st place in the contest

Hope to stay awake until midnight this New Years Eve Not to watch the fireworks but ignite a spark of inspiration The first blank chapter of the year with fresh New Year's resolutions for the future of tomorrow My list is not a long one: I'm not asking for an easier life but patience and strength Don't eat chocolate when I can't sleep at night - and ask who ate it up the following day I will close each day positively, before I kiss you goodnight

Why do we make resolutions? Why do I sit with a beer and resolutely say this is the last one?

Awe a great new year’s resolution my friend. It is no use in making one, I can never keep them. May you have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. Hugs my friend.

Sweet. My hope is I will stay awake for similar reasons, but we will see. Oh, you must have missed the memo. Dark Chocolate can be eaten any time of the day :). Smiles for you, Ed

Very sweet. I don't know if you are affected by chocolate. It can keep us awake, and I eat much less of it than I used to. I like your resolutions since they are close to our existence and are actually not going to be easy. But you have expressed humanity in a way that is very helpful to me. It's kindness for sure.

A simple positive resolution, nothing better than that, except maybe the chocolate
