conflicts of the world a blinding white light blazes they don't cry alone a new year in winter cold we witness disturbing scenes soldiers don't come home pregnant mothers on the run hospitals not safe children are born under fire without the right to freedom unspoken goodbye with constant rumbling from bombs not a love language weakened scream echoes in ears the tale of the cruel life

Anne-Lise, you wrote about something very important. War is a very sad thing because innocent people who didn't do anything wrong can get hurt or even die. Many sad things are happening all around the world because of war, and it's the innocent people who feel the most pain.

You capture the sad reality of war, where many innocent civilians die, Very nicely penned Anne

Conflicts galore. Problems in this world began quite early in the time of Adam. Hugs,

"not a love language weakened scream echoes in ears the tale of the cruel life" all over the world, it's inevitable! The love birds, so precious. May we take these warnings seriously. We may be next. Healthy New Year to you and yours!

beautifully constructed but sad series of Tankas that. I am saddened and disturbed with global state of affairs. I never remember a time in my lifetime when there was so much violence, hatred, conflict, and war....I hope and pray that things will turn the corner in 2024. Have a splendid evening, Sara

Happy New Year 2024, This tanka says it all, "constant rumbling from bombs", "not a love language". I wish we would send the peace in our hearts in pieces to these war torn countries. I'm pretty sure we all need to meditate daily for positive peaceful ends to this turbulent, war torn planet. God bless you dear poetess and keep shining on.
