A tear slides down my skin, cold as silence, soft as a whisper

A tear slides down my skin, cold as silence, soft as a whisper,
And when it reaches my lips, it curls at the edges, a silent irony of sadness,
Was it pain or relief, suffering or peace, a paradox flowing from my eyes,
Wearing a mask that even I cannot decipher, an enigmatic story in disguise,

Day Slides Away

Day slides away unspoken
Over the timeless hill
Dark oak and ash
Stencil the fading light
Black flickers of roost-bound rooks
Imprint the low sky’s cushion clouds
While half a world away
God’s turning Earth unfurls
Another’s bright Antipodean dawn.

My only niece Lonnie created sheer 
joy for me especially after i gave 
birth to two daughters Lonnie was 
indeed the boss of playtime visiting 
every summer being she was few 

years older than my girls she was 
very excited the summer of 1985 
i was at least six months pregnant
