shook down a bunch of red and yellow mollusks
hunted them down

Scaring sweet corn off of their stalks and husks...

Premium Member The Squid Man
The icky sticky squid-man
Squeezed from the water spout
Leapt up my nose and
Sucked my brains right out.

Dug deep inside me
with all his slimy legs
Inside my skull hole
He laid a thousand eggs....

Collection Is a Disease
empty sea shells
washed up on the
sea shore
death of a dream
eaten rotten flesh
marine mollusks
barnacles brachipods
she is a conchologist
through her windows
breath of the sea
bits and pieces
of the dead meat
collection is a
disease
waves and the tides
clams and snails
and chitons
killed and adorned
in our empty homes
of love...

Guilty Over Mollusks
Through sheer impulse, I was entranced
By the beauty of rare mollusks in varied designs
Ready to be plucked , the evening my witness
When I gathered all that I had found.

How could I have hurt nature which I adore?
As reparation for this lapse, I sent hikers daily
this card, " I'm sorry for picking what's not mine."

With Child
He put his ear to her belly, heard a milky cloud gurgling like a water spigot, the ankle-deep sounds of red plasma and urine, the murmur of mollusks in mouthing waters; succulent voices pushed through narrow throats. ‘Love me’, she said, ‘make love to me as I swell and sweat into a woman you have never met’. He said nothing but did tickle her glowing anus, did tongue her swollen, blue in-between lips.

Abstractions
Lithesome words like ‘love’, ‘loyalty’
And ‘liberty’
Lie, like mollusks on the sea
Bed; closed clam shut
Not revealing
Anything but
An unctuous feeling
And when prized open
By a devouring question
The contents give one
Indigestion.
So let’s not swallow
Such squirming terms
These loathsome, lithesome, worming words.
Meaningless and absurd
But if they are our sole default,
Let us take them with a pinch of salt.
