Petals Of An Orchid Mystic

Graceful curve of the flower enriched with mystery
melting away any bubbling misery
walking towards the beauty. 

(I'm looking to pull this special flower today.)

Wait shall I praise the wonderous bloom 
with fragrant colors infused within me soon 
something to admire on a daily 
choosing between multiple types that look equally lovely.

(I just want to love you.)

Spring — Passion

Kintsugi dawn—
white plum scents night air
tea rises in stillness.

Cranes cross pale sky;
child laughter drifts on moss.
A garden remembers.

Summer — Vocation

Tatami breathes—
cicada shells cling
reborn softly.

Koi flicker below
ripples fade in quiet hands.
Evening thunder calls—

incense drifts
forms bow.

Autumn — Mission

Fox lanterns kindle
shoji float through silver mist—
ancestral spirits stir.

Stray dog nestles
by the gate;
even strays seek warmth.

Tea vapor
recalls morning.

In petals of gold
tardy summer blooms glisten
with a bit more weight.

Dawn’s breath lifts pink blooms,
petals cruise to tranquil seas—
hope hums in the breeze.

Petals Of Peace

Tumultuous time came unheralded
in my life that wandered in the wasteland.
When in the crushing clasp of suffering
my heart broke and writhed in pain,
I searched for the comfort of calm arms,
but found none to cling consoled.

Plunged in the stormy sea of agony,
I tried to swim through the dark night
to the safe shore afar not in sight.

white lilies in bloom
cotton petals unfurl~
nature`s sacred

When Its Petals Draw Near

    A missile’s disguise is a flower
    magnetic, a whiff of its power
           
      Yet when its petals draw near
      a new odor appears
     

The Petals Hurt Too

Each petal cuts me in my sleep—
you call it soft,
but I bleed every time I touch it.
The mirror doesn’t cry with me anymore.
Only the fog stays.
It hums like a swallowed scream.

Petals, Once Velvet to My Touch

I woke long before he did,
quietly slipped from his side
and donned his warm woolen robe.

As difficult as 'twas to leave him,
to have awakened him—
I'd never have been able
to leave his bed.

This morning, what I sought
was not his heart to please,
but what I saw in a dream
that held me captive until I woke.

And now, I had
