Made up Story

Everyone was fine until they ate the last slice. 
Before the sugar was poured twice. 
Lastly, it’s horrible like general sweating. 
Waiting and regretting. 
Everyone had fur, like a werewolf. 
I had nothing except a hat from golf. 
Cranky portraits on the wall. 
I somehow used to be tall. 
Until the shrink ray passed through.

Made Up

I know very little 
about so much. 
And what I don't know 
I just make up.

    Spill the tea, tipped up spout, stirred
    Friction mixes fiction into fructose
    Whispers pull expectant ears close
    Muffled message can barely be heard 

    
    Listen where truth and lies intertwine

and many gods
look and gave
gifts to the unborn

children to be born
of man
were loved
as any new toy
is first loved

but this was the first
for Apollo

Apollo, the god of light,
gave

We Are Not Made Up of Machine Parts

The sum of all our parts

Are found within the soul,

We are not made of machine parts

That rust when they get old,

We are made of energy

And as such energy never dies,

But anyone who understands

Knows that it is wise,

To seek the love and light

For this is how all things grow well and flourish,

So give you soul something

A young man was murdered
In an instant, life no more
Not made up for gain
He lay dead on the floor

No chance to be saved
He was shot in the head
Not made up for sympathy
A pool of blood ran red

No chance to say goodbye
Blood, bone, and brain splattered
Not made up for partisanship
A family unit shattered

and those around me said she looked the same;

her arm, and didn't look as well as once before,

From lead to feces

For the error of our ways

But one thing you can rely on
Is people just don't pay heed
