Lacuna

Tough to rule, a throne you forged in stone,
the weight of time, it seems to sink so calm.
For you, the king of all that gone,
you seem to rule alone.

I learned that fire burns with rage.
Although it warms, do kiss those flames,
for beauty, often hides its face,
and we the hopeful gone in blaze.

For who can choose

Traipsing o'er rare daffodil dawn,
Honeysuckle trails a passage forlorn,
Passionate filters pacified carnation yon,
Shelter rose prickly poised stem-filled thorn.

Blues hover facing angry clouds,
Sunrise sprung anew yellows brighten,
Sunset made reds to blazon shade crowds,
Grey dusk looms whilst a stripped eve heighten.

Clouds brim its sky, made for a naked night,
A veiled moon and outstretched curtains its stars,
A lane

Lacuna

Wherefore?
It’s as though my Earth must tremble
Chilled
When I go to call your name.
When I go to answer.
Known to me,
This is.
When I miss you,
I become frightful,
Because I miss you.
Hadst I been afar from your presence
One moment
Too long
Too sour
I endure,
But I cease to breathe.
Yet my breath is long and wispy.
Like the air of night
An autumn night
Let

Lacuna

I'M BETTER
SINCE HEARD YOUR VOICE
MAYBE IT'S ENOUGH
TO SUSTAIN ME
THOUSANDS OF MILES
DO NOT DISSIPATE
I CANNOT PUT YOU
ON A SHELF
THE MOUNTAINS
BETWEEN US
DO NOT DETER ME
I FEEL IT
THROUGH THE DISTANCE
TUGGING AND PULLING
MY LOVE WILL ENDURE
ALL THINGS.

FOR J, RIP

Lacuna

It is another calibration of my journey,
pre-ordained but shrouded
in the belly I perceived in childhood,
distant signals, stuttering,
of flight a soul could make
beyond the apogee of earth
when home was much too lush,
the girl who spoke with velvet lips
too pretty to ignore,
the state

Mind's Lacuna

Open space within an embrace
My trials are almost done
Executioner tales I failed
While the rest I don't recall

Poetry became a backbone
Each time my eye struck twelve
A masterpiece I strive for
But humbly feel I've failed

A pen stroke feeds into my shadow
As memory's are still returned
From a cracked skull to my knife's old home
My fingers and

Lacuna

I was born into monarchy
Where red blood never met
It is opposite counter part

Though the clergy says we
Are one in one image
Yet I doubt its validity

He propounds heaven
Where we will all become equal
While the gap elongates
The red blood works not
Its counter part rests not

Yet we all hope
Unhopefully to become one
