Questionable

ever really knowing
if I'm coming or going
meanwhile
what am I to do with you
as somewhat akin
under the skin
yet now quite skint
but taking a sprint
and just for fun
making a dummy run
if I may say
it's leave or stay
quite the conundrum
of all things the sum
but when it's said and done
of the be and end-all none
for should you ever think

Futile Effort To Plunger the Clogged Kitchen Sink

Futile effort to plunger the clogged kitchen sink...
courtesy malfunctioning garbage disposal

which won't be removed
by onsite maintenance man
UNTIL/UNLESS 
fruit fly excreta wiped off
(impossible to access)
areas along bathroom and kitchen walls
so communicated "the warden."

Thus we (yours truly and his missus)
subjected to inhale 
putrid, offal, and noxious
smelling stagnant water
until every streak
telltale sign regarding Drosophila melanogaster
exuded excretory evidence
vanishes without

My hands penetrate warm dish water
An effect of silken skin,
Rainbow eyes sparkle
Spy me as I move within,
It’s all I have left for comfort,
For life which has given
Sure does make one pay,
Now all alone with no more dreams
When each end of day you drain away.

there i was, standing over the kitchen sink,
this is where i began to think, 
thinking of holding you tight,
kissing your head and saying goodnight, 

wondering if i was your angel what would i do
keeping you close watching over you,
protect you with all my heart
being your angel and never part,

By the kitchen sink my time is lost,
hovering by a random fruit fly flies by,
by a hanging holiday trinket of a glass blue-eye 
foreground to the view of the Elmworth estate
before me, a window of a world unfolding, 
dawn breaking beyond 
to the sound of traffic.
Soft skin under a hot tap,
on with the washing,

the sink drips of your tears and shines with your sweat
it cleanses our homestead and centres the kitchen cheers
it smells of your cookery delights
of every plate and pot you scrape
and of every scorn you bake

the tap tightens after every refreshing drink we taste
the kitchen sink amplifies every drop of water we waste
every step we take

Crab In the Kitchen Sink

i am a Dungeness crab with my claws
now strapped with rubber bands, my food
and my hiding hole taken away, leaving
me seated in someone else’s  kitchen sink

sinking with my manuscripts, pens, papers
and pencils to my death like a doomed rapist
murderer ready to walk, nay, sit on the electric
chair, soon to be flushed out as staunch
