In memory of Gizmo guinea pig

You flew beside me, small and brave,
From west coast skies to the ocean wave.
Tucked in close, not a sound you made,
Just calm little heartbeats, never afraid.

I gave you a friend, a buddy to share,
Skipperely wheeked, and you both were a pair.
In cozy corners, you’d nuzzle tight,
Two little souls curled safe each night.

But illness came like

Quandary Resolved

The wheels fell off my thingamajig
as a thingy
came loose in the whachamacallit
or perhaps it was the doodad
on the wotsit
which was the cause to stall it
and it'll take a few odds 'n' sods
plus a new doodah
and some hoo-ha
to make the gizmo
or doohickey
go again so
not to take the mickey
but prep the whole whoop-de-do
to look like new

Gizmo

Gizmo, fluffy ball,
Squeaks and hops around his pen,
Loves his veggies all.

Cute and chubby cheeks,
Guinea pig with lively squeaks,
Brings me joy and peaks.

Gizmo, little guy,
Snuggles close, his bright eyes shine,
My piggy, oh so spry.

I have a guinea pig named Gizmo
Whose antics made everyone go "Oh, no!"
He'd run through the house
Like a tiny, furry mouse
And leave poop chaos wherever he'd go!

Gilded in a shroud of leaves

I just happened to find this Gizmo

Now I take it with me
Everywhere I go

I take it out to play
I take it into work
I spend time with my Gizmo

Like a woman changes moods 
So I can wear it with any outfit
