Scurry Now a Panther Comes Your Way
Hush hush busy muskrat;
all you bucktoothed beavers
gnaw on unheard, work you unseen.

The sleek panther is stalking
slipping silently through the feathergrass
an angel of hunger is in its eyes.

You timid rabbit and fawn, be gone!

That creeping killer can stalk the wind
it smells your breath,
the faint odor of death
is already upon it.

Quick you nibblers, you green grazers
Your time...

Premium Member When They Scurry
Night after night I still dream about these blocks. Dance they do, dance they don't.
Seeing them hand-less in effortless glide, my mind strides so young to differ!

squared, cube, these blocks move
sporadic movement in dance
no rhyme, reasoning

Again the nights throw these scratching sounds from below my bed, dread I.
In confusion scrawl, they bawl silently to me,...

Darkness descends as shadows scurry,
and a dying, scarlet sun silently sets.
Ruby-red and crimson-colored
clouds coalesce into a sullied shroud.
As dusk darkens, daylight dims.
And while sullen silhouettes slip-slide,
black bats blacken the air; in full flight....

Scurry Curry
(Based on the logical conundrum known as Curry’s Paradox, or sometimes Löb’s Paradox.)

A tricky logician named Curry
Proposed, just to make our minds scurry,
   That if this claim’s valid,
   Then I’m a tossed salad.
It seems simply proved, so I worry....

Scurry Roach
Scuttle scurry
Roaches
Askidaddle to the
Left
Skidaddle to the
Right.
Furious feets
Propelling
Gripping zip
Zero escape
Because

A roach soon will
Roast

there was a sweet little man
with a penchant for fashion
who wears his jackets tan
he closes his eyes when he smiles
and looks awfully dashing

eyes of green and gloves of white
he struts about without a worry
soaking in windowbeams til twilight
but if you wake him without caution
he will dash away in haphazard scurry

oh what a lovely little lad
he...

morn!
lovesick
Blue jay croons,
squirrels scurry
in haste for ever…
boisterous in grey coat.
breathtaking vermilion tinge
painting sky with glistening hue,
intoxicated July dreamscapes
idyllic beauty of glorious  day!...

The sun shines brightly through my bedroom window
Nature reminder to rise and take my head off the pillow
The kitchen calls out a hearty breakfast I must make
It will give me energy for a hike around the lake
A gentle autumn breeze greets me as I begin my journey
The brightly colored leaves drift slowly to the...

Scurry
Icy cold fingers invade
There's no stopping it
No chance of a forcefield no brigade
Assaulted. FIRE! hit! FIRE! hit!

No way to breathe
They fire and never miss
Just some air is what I need
Torturous

Shaded eyes
Ears distracted
No more lies
The truth extracted

Head seems clouded
Heart in a bind
Yet I am who allowed it
The mistakes are mine

Beaten down by my...

Tis a tale of Kid Scurry.
That hailed from Missouri.
Claimed He's the fastest around.
They hired a known shootist.
Who came out of St Louis.
Then their six guns blazed.
Though it was an even play.
Kid Scurry lies draped in a shroud.
Well, He wasn't the fastest.
Yet, needed more practice.
They buried him with his boots on.
As the crimson sun went...

Snow mice check out the caged bird so black
We never told them but they heard the venter’s hack
Came out of the top hat like curriers in a big hurry.
The eyes of the recipient watched those rodents scurry!...

Premium Member Worry Scurry Scurry Worry
I used to take work home with me.
Worry. Scurry. Scurry. Worry.
Taking no time to speak to my family.
Paying them no attention at all.

All of this worrying and scurrying depressed me.
Sad and mad, I would take to my bed.
One nap would not suffice, so I would take two.
Leave me alone! I would yell to my children.

My...

SCURRY OF SQUIRRELS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
whiskered forest kings with furry, fluffy crown
     their tiny paws, a blur racing up the ancient oak
           ears perk as they gather nuts, sun warming their backs
a scurry of squirrels forms within the ancient oak
    ...
